AC Decisions in Palm Desert

Desert heat makes dependable cooling important. Here's a practical approach to evaluating an HVAC service recommendation.

Prepare before a service visit

Write down when the problem started, whether it affects the whole house, any unusual sounds, and recent filter changes. This helps explain the symptoms clearly.

Compare proposals fairly

When replacement is recommended, compare equipment specifications, proposed capacity, installation scope, permits, warranties, and total costs—not just the headline price.

Protect yourself

Verify the contractor's license through the California Contractors State License Board and ask for written documentation before signing.
